Road To Hope
Making a difference – one trip at a time
Alberta-Pacific understands the challenges community members face while living in a rural area. After recognizing the impact these challenges are having on members of our community, we decided that we wanted to make a difference.
Research was conducted and a decision was made to start a foundation that would fill a much-needed void in our communities. In 2009, Al-Pac’s signature program, Road to Hope Community Support Foundation was founded.
Road to Hope is a partnership between Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. and members of the communities it serves. The foundation’s volunteer drivers transport cancer patients to and from their medical treatments outside of their home community. In addition to transportation, the foundation offers much-needed support to cancer patients and their families.
The Board of Directors is comprised of an Al-Pac team member as well as members from the local communities. Al-Pac team members and retirees are also getting behind the wheel and raising funds for the foundation through various events held throughout the year.
